SHADOW~ FAQZ!!!
-Shadowmancer will be unleashed nationwide in May 2004. It's a glossy hardcover featuring a stone vicarage building, an ominous sky, and lots of lightning. The book is 344 pages long and is published by G.P. Putnam's Sons, a division of the Penguin Young Readers Group. And since Penguin is the 2nd largest publisher in the world, you can bet you'll find it in bookstores everywhere.
-Shadowmancer spent 15 weeks at Number 1 on the UK's paperback bestseller list. Rave reviews from the press and fans traveled like wildfire across the country, and Shadowmancer even outsold boy magician Harry Potter!
-Shadowmania is all over the web. The official site, www.shadowmancer.com, has a cool free screen saver, the latest news from teh author, and other links. There are already fansites like www.zanzaro.com/shadowmancer and www.shadow-mania.com. Hey, you could even start your own.
-You may be dying to know that a "shadowmancer," like the villain Rev. Obadiah Demurral, is a sorcerer who speaks to the dead and commands restless souls to do his bidding.
-You'll see Shadowmancer written up in Christian publications and in big national magazines like Good Housekeeping (look for a review in August!) and People magazine. You might even hear about it during your church social or book discussion group.
-There's a $6.2 million deal with Fortitude Films to make a Shadowmancer movie. Wonder what a twenty-foot high thulak might look like? Got any ideas for leading ladies to play Kate? You'll have to wait; the movie won't be out for a bit.
-G.P. Taylor's next book, Wormwood, is coming out in Fall 2004. The new book is set in London in the 1800's and focuses on a despicable character from Shadowmancer, who digs up coffins in search of souls. Mark your calendars and watch the bookstores. | |
